Accessories For PSP Games

We have listed a small sample of some of the terrific accessories for PSP games. The Sony PlayStation Portable is great right out of the box. But there will always be those accessories you just don't want to live without.

Since it's so small you expect your PSP to be portable - and it is. But it doesn't have the protective clamshell cover of its rival, the Nintendo DS, so you may be feeling left out. You can travel in safety and style with a carrying case for your pride and joy. Logitech makes a PlayGear Pocket Slim that is inexpensive and stylish. Or, go for the ProPorta Face Cover. Both are scratch resistant and sturdy enough to ride a bike over without damaging your PSP.

And, since your PSP has no built-in storage you may be feeling a certain lack. You'll want to take advantage of the unit's ability to download music and video, add game content, and more. With a Memory Stick Duo that fits right into the convenient slot you can do just that. Whether you need 2GB or 4GB you're ready to go with one of these. Some Entertainment Pack bundles include a 1GB stick.

Once you've downloaded some of that great music or video, you'll want to hear it in the best way possible. A pair of superb Koss PortaPro Headphones are just the ticket. A classic design, they still provide superior sound just like they did for your Dad when he was your age. (Lifetime guarantee if they break, too!) For a slimmer, more modern looking style, consider the excellent Shure SE530 Sound Isolating Earphones. These ear bud-type headphones are pricey but they deliver the ultimate in sound quality.

If you've downloaded a stellar video you want to watch, or just want to play a PSP game on a larger screen, some AV cables are a must. You can get composite cables and hook up to any TV. But for the best possible viewing on your HDTV consider a Sony component cable. Either are typically under $20 and extend the usability of your PSP to the max.

Of course, some of those files may need to be converted. The PSP can handle MP3 and AAC files with ease, but to get the best possible resolution you might want to take advantage of Nero Move It. If the modest price is still more than you want to spend, look into the FormatFactory's freeware product.

If you're just itching to use your PSP to watch movies, have no fear that you have to sacrifice audio quality to do so. Nyko makes a Theater Experience sound system that will turn your PlayStation into a home theater. Dock your PSP inside the case and get quality sound with ease. It also acts as a recharger, so you can justify the cost to yourself that way.

Ok, maybe some of those don't qualify under the strict category of essential accessories for psp games. But what is optional accessories for one gamer just might be must-have accessories for psp to another gamer!
