Final Fantasy XIV: This edition to the Final Fantasy series is similar to FFXI Online, but different in many ways. Square Enix decided to make the graphics and character creation very similar to FFXI. However, the battle system and other features will be completely different. Chocobo’s are also returning to the game, but taking on an entirely new role. This game is scheduled to be released during 2010.

Fung Wan Online: FWO is a fairly new MMO brought to you by Phoenix Games Studio and CiB Net Station. It has a free to play version along with a pay to play version. It has 3D graphics with plenty of role-playing qualities.

Furcadia: Furcadia is a fun 2D MMORPG. It’s a long lasting MMO in which characters can choose between animals for their avatar. It’s free to play, with extra pay options for better features/enhanced game play.

Free Realms: Here we have a browser-based MMORPG. This game was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and is free to play. Characters can choose and switch between different jobs throughout the game. This allows players to level up characters/jobs to their liking. Experience is also evenly distributed in many ways. Instead of the normal “killing monsters” to level up, players can gather experience by doing quests, traveling, playing mini-games, chatting, and many other ways.
