Dark Age of Camelot: DAoC is a 3D MMORPG that takes place before the rule of King Arthur. Players can choose between 3 realms to fight for. Each realm consists of its own landscape and “beliefs.” Like many MMO’s, there are a few different base classes to choose from. Of course, later on, players may advance to different sub-classes. The base classes are: Warriors, Spell Casters, Rogues, and Priests. There is also special areas where players can participate in PvP. Dark and Light: Dark and Light is one of few cool online games that grants players the ability to fly. DnL is a F2P Medieval Fantasy MMORPG with 3D graphics and many unique functions. Other unique features include things such as the landscape. The landscape consists of over 15,000 square miles of land, not including oceans. Players are also able to fly throughout the realm. Darkfall: Darkfall is one of many cool online games available. Darkfall is a 3D action/strategy MMORPG. It uses a real-time combat system with full loot, unrestricted PvP, and much more. Like other MMO’s, Darkfall has many different races available for play. These races include: Alfar, Dwarves, Humans, Mahirim and Orks. Your racial choice does not heavily affect your progression throughout the game, unlike many other MMORPG’s.

DECO Online: DECO Online is a 3D MMORPG. It’s F2P with cash shop for extra options. DECO Online has two main nations: Millena and Rain. Millena focuses more on warriors and physical attacks, while Rain is more magic-oriented. In the Millena nation, players can choose to become a Knight, Mercenary, Slayer or Sniper. The Rain nation simply relies on their magic for combat. DECO Online has a unique combo system. Players can utilize the X, Y, and Z keys to perform various combos. DC Universe: Here is another hero-themed MMORPG. DC Universe was inspired by The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. Players can choose to be either a hero or a villain. They will then get their own legion/sidekicks. Many familiar characters will be in the game. DC Universe has been scheduled to be released during late 2009 or early 2010.

Diaspora: Diaspora was a 2D point and click shooter MMORPG. It contains a vast and friendly community. In Diaspora, players may choose to fight their way through the galaxy to attain control of various planets or simply trade their way to riches. The original Diaspora went offline and was discontinued in 2001. However, because of its popularity and success, many other player-made versions of the game are available/currently being made. Disney's Toontown Online: Designed for children as young as 7 years old, Disney’s Toontown Online is a fun MMORPG. Toontown has a free to play version (with limited game features) and a pay to play version (monthly subscription fee). Instead of playing as one of Disney’s familiar characters, players get to create their own unique character and customize it to their liking. Players can choose to be a dog, cat, horse, duck, mouse, rabbit, monkey, bear or pig. Players fight Cogs by using gags (silly pranks or other comical actions). Although Toontown Online is kid-oriented and completely safe for kids, Disney’s Toontown Online is also great fun for many older players. Dofus: Dofus is a fun 2.5D game. It has 2D characters and 3D backgrounds. Gameplay takes place in The World of Twelve (or The Dofus World). The World of Twelve is named after the 12 character classes which inhabit it. Dofus is a P2P game, but there is a F2P version with limited contents.

Dragon Ball Online: Dragon Ball Online is a 3D action fighter MMORPG. Players get to create their own avatar resembling many of the well known Dragon Ball characters. Once online, players can train to gather experience, hunt for money, explore the landscape, and even search for the missing Dragon Balls. The Japanese version is currently the only version out. DragonRealms: Here we have yet another medieval fantasy MMORPG. DragonRealms is one of few very old but unique multi-user dungeon games. Players can attain different roles or professions with their characters and participate in an array of events. From navel travel and combat to trading, players will never get bored. Like most RPGs, players train to increase their character’s level which results in better stats, skills, etc.

DreamLords: DreamLords is actually a MMORTS game. In turn, it has many familiar RPG elements packed into it. DreamLords runs on a real-time strategy engine, along with the use of a browser. This combination alone gives it truly powerful game play. DreamLords is F2P with P2P for extra options. It has a medieval touch to it, and allows players to command and control their own empire.

Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach: D&D is a P2P game. The monthly subscription fee is $14.99 USD. There is also a 1-time-pay version of the game coming out late summer 2009. The game’s camera view is similar to games such as Super Mario 64 and Grand Theft Auto III. Players progress through the game by completing various quests and leveling up.

Dungeon Runners: Dungeon Runners is a F2P MMORPG with P2P for extra options. Although unrestricted to free users, many players suggest paying the extra $4.99 USD a month for greatly enhanced game play. Dungeon Runners is big on emphasizing the use of instance dungeons. The game is really meant to be played solo, but players may choose to group together for harder dungeons.
