Maplestory is probably one of the most popular 2D side-scrolling games (if not the most popular already) on the market today. Maplestory is free-to-play with Cash Shop. The Matrix Online: The Matrix Online takes place in Mega City. Players play as a “Red Pill” human which escaped the Matrix. There are 3 main classes in The Matrix Online: Coder, Hacker, and Operative. There are 2 types of combat: Free-Fire and Interlock. Free-Fire allows players to host large gun battles while Interlock permits bullet-time-affected martial-arts and close-quarter combat.
