A Tale in the Desert: A 3D online role-playing game that is unique when compared to most other RPG’s. You work with other players to complete tests, get involved with politics, and help out the city. All of this takes place in an ancient desert setting.

Active Worlds: AW is run on a windows browser and allows users to explore an online community which gives a better understanding of the 3D realm. Users can explore environments that were created by other players. You may also build your own 3D environment on the AW web. Although AW was originally meant for online business's, they've broadened their horizons and managed to allocate themselves to the RPG Online Games category.

Ace Online: In Ace Online, players pilot their own individual star fighters (called "Gears") throughout a number of maps, including terrestrial, lunar, and space maps. Aces High 2: Aces High 2 is a flight simulator which lets you control aircraft, naval ships, tracked tanks, amphibious vehicles, and much more. The setting takes place during WWII. Players are able to choose from a variety of vehicles and aircraft from the WWII era. Although it’s a simulator, it has a huge community with many players that are available for chat. You can also work together with other players to complete missions as a fleet. This is a classic hit for the RPG Online Games category.

Age of Armor: Age of Armor is a robot-themed MMORPG that takes on a futuristic, science-fiction feel. You choose a race and can equip robot suits (armor) to help you defeat your opponents. Age of Conan: This is a Fantasy MMO (RPG Online Games) in which you play a role as a character in the Hyborian Kingdoms. Aion combines PvP and PvE in a fantasy dream setting. One major feature of the game is flying. Flying is necessary not only to reach new areas of the game, but for aerial combat as well. There are 8 playable classes in the game, each receiving its particular role. These factions are: Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Chanter, Cleric, Assassin, Ranger, Gladiator, and Templar. Every character in Aion is gifted with a set of wings. These grant the character the option of flight, for aerial combat or ground combat. Alganon: Alganon is a fantasy MMORPG (RPG Online Games) with a world full of quests, magic, undiscovered realms, and gamers ranging from casual to hardcore. David Allen wanted to create a game in which the casual and hardcore gamer alike can flourish. Players will be able to spread and share their knowledge, accomplishments, and opinions with other players. There is even a central library which contains all information about virtually everything in the game. This game is currently in development/beta testing, but is planned to be fully released during the summer of 2009.

Anarchy Online: This is an MMORPG created by Funcom. Funcom is famous for their other popular MMO’s (RPG Online Games) such as: The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, and the Age of Conan. Despite the common fantasy theme that most MMORPG’s take on, Anarchy Online begs to differ from its counterparts. Angels Online: Angels Online (or Angel Love Online) generates a unique type of double job/skill system. Players are able to create unique characters by mixing and matching different jobs and/or skills. The game starts out in a beautiful 2D world, where players go to school as an angel. At the end of the academy, they are released to explore the wonderful world of Angels Online and continue to level up and do quests. Armada Online: This is a sci-fi shooter game (although it's also listed under RPG Online Games). It has a pvp system in where up to 8 players per team can engage in combat with each other. Players also can buy power ups, combat and defeat the Armada, set up space colonies, and eventually defeat the other team’s base.

Asda Story: Asda Story is a free to play 3D MMORPG. It’s a great game for casual and hardcore gamers alike. There are impeccable differences about this game than other MMO’s (RPG Online Games). The game features a “soul-mate” system, which can give extra exp and bonuses between a male and female character. This even allows a player to get their “soul-mate” exp even while they’re offline. There is also the sowel system, which players can harness to socket sowels into their armor and weapons. These sowels give extra stats and/or bonuses. Asheron’s Call: Asheron’s Call (AC) is a fantasy MMORPG (RPG Online Games) for windows-based PCs. The land of Dereth is the game’s main homeland. Dereth and its many surrounding islands are occupied by thousands of players. You can earn exp in a variety of ways in AC. You can then spend the exp points on things like stats and skills, to help improve your character. This game also has its own unique crafting system, known as Tinkering.

Atlantica Online: Here we have a fantastic 3D fantasy MMORPG. However, Atlantica Online differentiates itself from other RPG online games by its strategic, turn-based game play. When starting, a player can choose from 7 different classes. From there, they are free to customize their own unique character. As you advance through the game and level up, you can command and control your own personal mercenaries. The game also makes a big deal of the concept of guilds. Guilds can control towns, or even wage war against other guilds.

AWPlanet: Here’s an interesting 3D science fiction MMO. Because of your role throughout the game, this is still one of many RPG online games. The game takes place far into the future, where humans and aliens thrive together. The setting takes place on the temperate planet of Antouin. The planet lacks natives and intelligent life, but does have native flora and fauna. Some people say that the nice thing about this game, is that the system requirments are extremely low. Not only that, but the game is compatible with almost any computer (even really old PC's)! We've even heard rumors that some people can play it on their cell phones (Now that's compatible)!

AdventureQuest: AdventureQuest is a fun, 2D single-player MMO. It’s F2P for life or P2P for better options. As far as the battle system goes, it’s almost entirely turn-based. You can choose to use auto-attack or skills. Auto-attack has a set time limit and will attack every so often. The staff mentioned something about adding other components to the game, such as real-time battles and PvP. This is one of many great RPG Online Games for kids.
